Jean Grivot

France

Domaine Jean Grivot is a sixth-generation family estate based in Vosne-Romanée in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. Estate-bottled since 1959, it passed from Étienne and Marielle Grivot to their daughter Mathilde in 2017, with Mathilde now leading the winemaking. The domaine farms organically without formal certification, relying on minimal chemical inputs, horse ploughing to protect the soils, old vines, and native yeasts. Its wines come from a broad range of Côte de Nuits appellations, including Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites, and reflect a long family commitment to careful, low-impact viticulture and traditional estate production.
