Champagne Drappier is an eighth-generation family house founded in 1808 in Urville, in the Côte des Bar, where Pinot Noir is the estate’s signature grape. Led by Michel Drappier with his children and André Drappier, the domaine combines long history with a strong environmental focus: certified organic farming, organic fertilizers, horse ploughing, recycled-glass bottles, solar-powered eco-designed cellars, and low- or no-sulphur vinifications. Described as the first carbon-neutral Champagne house, Drappier also preserves rare old vintages in 12th-century cellars built by Saint Bernard and continues to cultivate forgotten varieties such as Fromenteau, Arbanne, Petit Meslier, and Blanc Vrai. The wines are noted as expressive and aromatic.
