Domaine Saint-Pierre d’Escarvaillac is a historic family estate at the gates of Avignon, housed in a Romanesque building with roots reaching back to 1336. Owned by the Requin family since 1880, it is now led by fourth-generation winemaker Christophe Requin. The estate has been farmed organically since 2017, with eco-grazing and biodiversity-focused practices. Harvesting is largely manual, while red wines are fermented and aged in historic stone vats and cellars once used by the Carthusians. Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault grow on limestone and clay soils, producing intense, generous and silky Côtes du Rhône wines. The domaine also produces fruit juices and olive oil, and serves as a lively venue for exhibitions, concerts and theatre.
