Domaine Juliette Avril is a family-owned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, founded in 1927 and now managed by Marie-Lucile Brun with her son Stephan Brun overseeing viticulture and sales. Its vineyards span Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Cairanne, Plan de Dieu and other southern Rhône appellations, with varied soils including rolled pebbles, clay-limestone, sand and marl. The domaine follows reasoned, sustainable agriculture certified by Terra Vitis and HVE 3, using practices such as reduced treatments, ploughing, hedgerow planting, waste recycling and mating confusion. Manual harvesting and plot-by-plot observation support wines intended to express terroir and vintage rather than conform to a standard style. Traditional blends, including Syrah and Grenache, range from approachable Côtes du Rhône to structured, age-worthy Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Cairanne cuvées.
