Domaine Davanture – Gaec des Murgers is a family-owned estate in Saint-Désert, in Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, run and made by brothers Eric, Damien and Xavier Davanture. Descended from eight generations of vignerons, the family works with traditional Burgundian methods, including ploughing and hand harvesting. The domaine produces red and white wines across appellations including Givry and Mercurey. Its farming approach has included lutte raisonnée since 1996, reduced inputs, protection of soil quality and biodiversity, and the planting of hedges and trees. The estate also preserves historic dry-stone walls in its vineyards. Its wines have been featured in the Guide Hachette des Vins and selected by Revue du Vin de France among the best Bourgogne Villages Blancs.
