Degani is a multi-generational family-run estate in the Valpolicella hills near Verona, Veneto. The winery is owned and operated by the Degani family, with brothers Aldo and Luca as winemakers and Zeno managing the vineyards, while vineyard work, winemaking, bottling and sales are all handled in-house by family members. Fruit comes exclusively from their own vineyards, including the la Rosta plot. Their approach centers on traditional Pergola trellising, reduced vine density, natural fermentation and generally low-impact, minimal-intervention practices. No formal sustainability certification is noted, but the focus is clearly on estate-grown fruit, traditional methods and careful quality-minded farming.
