Clos Floridène is a family-run estate in Graves, Bordeaux, founded by Denis and Florence Dubourdieu in 1982 and now led in winemaking by Jean-Jacques Dubourdieu. Built from an initial small plot, the property expanded over time, with its cellar completed in 2018. The estate grows Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and emphasizes careful, hands-on vineyard work, including hand pruning, bud removal and leaf removal, with no chemical weed killers. Its environmental approach also includes a forest maintained for carbon offset, solar panels on newer buildings, and sensor and weather-station networks to help reduce energy use.
