Clos Bagatelle

France

Clos Bagatelle is a family-owned estate in Languedoc-Roussillon, passed down through five generations and now run by siblings Christine Bagatelle, the winemaker, and Luc Bagatelle. Its vineyards span four terroirs—La Lauze, Donnadieu, Saint-Jean-de-Minervois, and Assignan—with grape varieties carefully matched to each site. The domaine works with low pruning, high upright trellising, reinforced vine density, and hand-picking. While no formal sustainability certification is noted, these practices reflect a considered, terroir-focused approach to viticulture and winemaking.
