Château Palais Cardinal is a family-owned Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estate in Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, south of Saint-Émilion. Its gravel, sand and silt soils are planted mainly to Merlot, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The team works plot by plot, combining mechanical and manual vineyard work, selective harvesting and density sorting with traditional winemaking and modern equipment. Fermentation takes place in thermoregulated stainless-steel tanks, followed by at least 18 months’ ageing in oak, tanks or amphorae; bottling is carried out at the estate. The wines include Château Palais Cardinal, Le Palatin and experimental single-variety amphora cuvées. The estate is certified Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3 and Terra Vitis, and has installed beehives to support biodiversity. It is a member of Les Vignerons Indépendants and offers tours, tastings and wine tourism.
