Château Latour is a historic Premier Grand Cru Classé estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux, with origins dating back to 1331 and a long association with the Ségur family before its acquisition by François Pinault’s Artémis Domaines in 1993. Under Frédéric Engerer, the property combines deep tradition with exacting, environmentally focused viticulture: horse ploughing was reintroduced in 2008, L’Enclos has been farmed organically since 2015, and the estate achieved full Ecocert organic certification in 2018–2019, with biodynamic practices used in L’Enclos. Its wines are shaped by the gravelly terroir overlooking the Gironde, and the style is noted for depth, power, freshness, elegance, and long aging potential.
