Charly Rol is a vigneron in Senftenberg, Lower Austria, who moved there from Burgundy around a decade ago and now produces wines under his own label. Reportedly in its third vintage, the project is based on approximately one hectare of Rol’s own vines, supplemented by grapes purchased from friends. These growers farm organically or biodynamically, although no formal sustainability certification is reported for Rol. With Charly Rol the only named winemaking figure, the wines reflect a personal, small-scale undertaking; further details on production and ownership are not available.
