Bertinga is a young Tuscan estate founded in 2015 in Gaiole in Chianti, on historic vineyards once linked to Castello di Ama and later expanded with the Adine and Vertine sites. Owned by Maxim Kashirin and Anatoly Korneev, it focuses on just two grapes, Sangiovese and Merlot, across three vineyards and a compact range of Toscana IGT wines, including single-parcel bottlings. Farming is organic, with parcel-by-parcel work, cover cropping, and careful canopy and soil management aimed at natural balance and healthy fruit. The estate is led by Luca Vitiello and Elisa Ascani, with vineyard work overseen by David Picci and winemaking advised by Stéphane Derenoncourt. The style is terroir-driven, emphasizing place, finesse, structure, and long ageing before release.
