Founded by Gregory Perrucci in the early 1990s, Accademia dei Racemi is a club-style cooperative bringing together several small independent estates in Manduria, Puglia. The group focuses on low-yielding bush vines planted in hot, rocky soils, with a particular emphasis on traditional Primitivo as well as Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and lesser-known local varieties including Ottavianello and Sussumaniello. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel, under Perrucci’s winemaking direction. Cultivation is conventional, with no organic or biodynamic certification mentioned.
