About Côte des Bar

Champagne

Sparkling

Pinot Noir dominates, with some Chardonnay and Meunier.

Pinot Noir can give the wines a generous fruit character. Blends and single-village wines both feature here.

Still rosé

Rosé

Pinot Noir only.

Dry, with red-berry flavours and more depth than many pale rosés. Some bottles develop dried-fruit and spice notes with age.

Where it grows: Southeast of Troyes in the Aube, around Bar-sur-Seine and Bar-sur-Aube. Les Riceys lies near the southern edge.
