Moschofilero
Mantinia brings Moschofilero’s floral freshness into white wines and lively sparkling expressions from Arcadia’s high plateau.
A dry white with rose-petal, citrus and green-fruit notes supported by lively acidity.
Floral fruit with a lively mousse; traditional-method examples may add yeast and pastry notes, while sweetness varies by bottle.
Pink-skinned Moschofilero makes white PDO Mantinia, either still or sparkling. The denomination requires it to lead the blend; many producers use it alone. Cool conditions at elevation help preserve aromatic lift and acidity. Rosé Moschofilero may be made in the wider area under a different designation. Sparkling Mantinia can use traditional or tank methods, so bubbles do not imply one compulsory production technique.
