Assisi offers an Umbrian hillside wine journey, with Grechetto whites and Sangiovese-led reds beneath a celebrated hilltop landscape.
Apple, citrus and flowers with freshness and a gently textured dry palate.
Sangiovese, Merlot.
Cherry, plum and herbal detail with a dry palate, fresh acidity and measured tannins.
Assisi DOC includes several white, red and rosé wine types rather than a single town blend. Grechetto gives a clear white introduction, while Sangiovese and Merlot form the required core of the red and rosé blends. Varietal wines add further alternatives. The protected vineyard area and a winery’s postal address do different jobs. Follow the actual wine origin and type to connect a bottle with this part of the Umbrian hills.
