Colli Bolognesi explores the hills around Bologna through a varied range of still red and white wines.
Sauvignon Blanc.
Citrus, herbs and orchard fruit with a fresh, dry finish.
Cherry and plum with lively acidity and a dry, gently tannic palate.
Colli Bolognesi DOC offers grape-specific wines including Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon. The range provides a useful contrast to the separate Pignoletto DOCG. Hill exposure and soils differ between vineyards, while the named grape helps explain the bottle’s style. A broad local wine journey can therefore move from a fresh white to a structured red without leaving the denomination. Read the full DOC or DOCG name when comparing neighbouring labels.
