Fortana
Fortana del Taro offers a local Parma-area red-wine discovery, with fresh fruit and a tradition of gentle frizzante.
Fortana.
Red berries and savoury notes with fresh acidity and a gentle prickle; sweetness varies.
Fortana is the principal grape of this IGT, connecting the wine to a local lowland tradition. Still and frizzante expressions can differ in sweetness, so the exact style wording is useful. The name is distinct from Bosco Eliceo DOC near the Adriatic, despite that region’s own Fortana connection. Explore the producer’s method and serving style to find a lively companion for Parma’s food traditions.
