Kardenakhi has two distinctive protected wine expressions: a dry amber wine and a fortified white, rooted in the same Kakhetian microzone.
Dried orchard fruit, herbs and tea-like spice with a dry palate and skin-derived grip.
Golden fruit and honeyed notes with a fuller, warming palate; consult the bottle for sweetness.
The Kardenakhi protected origin is led by Rkatsiteli, with Mtsvane Kakhuri and Khikhvi permitted in smaller roles. Its specification includes dry amber wine made in qvevri as well as fortified white wine. These are separate styles, so the name alone does not establish the production method. Kardanakhi is another spelling used for the same village. Read the wine type and sweetness information rather than treating the two spellings as separate origins.
