Navarra DO pairs its famous Garnacha rosés with a broad choice of reds and whites.
Grenache.
Bright red-berry fruit and freshness, with colour and body varying by producer.
Tempranillo.
Red and dark fruit with a firmer structure; oak-aged examples can add spice.
Chardonnay.
A fresh white route that can gain texture and toast from lees or barrel maturation.
Navarra’s five subzones meet different Atlantic, continental and Mediterranean influences. Garnacha rosé is a classic introduction, with Tempranillo and Garnacha reds and Chardonnay whites opening further routes. Winemaking ranges from fresh young bottlings to barrel-aged wines. The DO is geographically distinct from the administrative region: parts of Navarra also contribute to Rioja, so the complete designation matters.
