Sangiovese leads with Sagrantino; other permitted red partners vary.
Cherry, dark berries and savoury spice with freshness and firm tannins.
Trebbiano Spoletino leads the white blend; permitted supporting varieties vary.
Citrus, orchard fruit and herbal detail with a fresh, layered dry palate.
Apple, citrus and flowers with freshness and gentle palate breadth.
Montefalco DOC is distinct from Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG. Its red blend is led by Sangiovese and includes Sagrantino, while the white blend centres on Trebbiano Spoletino. A separate Grechetto type adds another white-wine route. These names identify different recipes and wine types within a shared wider landscape. Follow the complete denomination and grape information to choose between the red blend, the local whites and the separate Sagrantino DOCG expressions.
