Winkel brings Rhine-side Rheingau Riesling into focus through vineyard names such as Hasensprung and its wider village landscape.
Citrus, apple and peach with floral detail and fresh acidity; sweetness varies.
Winkel is a wine locality within the larger municipality of Oestrich-Winkel. It remains useful to distinguish the village name from Oestrich and from an individual vineyard. Hasensprung provides a documented Riesling example, while other sites add different exposures and soils. Dry and sweet wines can both express the locality. Read the precise origin and sweetness statement, then explore the producer’s approach to texture and ageing.
