Côtes de Millau explores the upper Tarn through hillside reds, refreshing rosés and small-production whites.
Gamay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Red and dark berries with peppery spice, freshness and a dry finish.
Chenin Blanc, Mauzac.
Apple, citrus and floral notes with texture and fresh acidity.
Gamay and Syrah form an important partnership in Côtes de Millau reds, with Cabernet Sauvignon among the supporting grapes. Rosés offer another expression, while the whites are led by Chenin with Mauzac. Terrace and hillside sites help define the local landscape. The different wine colours have their own grape requirements, so a red-wine blend should not be assumed to describe the whites.
