Murray Darling spans two states, bringing generous whites and fruit-led reds from sunny Murray River country.
Soft, generous fruit and a rounded palate.
Syrah.
Ripe berry fruit and soft tannins in a forward red style.
This is one registered GI across the state boundary. Long sunshine hours, low rainfall and irrigation shape wine growing on its riverine soils. Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon offer familiar introductions, while some growers explore Mediterranean varieties suited to the warmth. A Victorian or New South Wales setting does not create a second Murray Darling appellation. Check the bottle’s precise origin when a broader southeastern Australian blend is offered.
