Barbera and Croatina lead, with Uva Rara among the permitted supporting grapes.
Ripe cherry and dark berries with sweetness, fresh acidity and gentle bubbles.
Sangue di Giuda DOC, also called Sangue di Giuda dell’Oltrepò Pavese, combines Barbera and Croatina with permitted supporting grapes. Its defining appeal is a sweet red expression, available in different wine types including frizzante and spumante. The name should not be confused with the area’s dry Buttafuoco reds. Read the wine type to distinguish gentle bubbles from fully sparkling wine, then serve according to the producer’s guidance.
