Cauquenes is a gateway to Maule’s old-vine heritage, with bright Carignan and characterful País from a landscape of small vineyards.
Dark berries, tart cherry and savoury herbs with energetic acidity and firm tannins.
Red berries and earthy detail with a fresh, lightly grippy palate.
Cauquenes is a more specific wine area inside Tutuvén. Older dry-farmed vineyards provide fruit for distinctive reds, with Carignan gaining attention through VIGNO and individual estates. The grower and site remain central: the collective’s label has its own requirements, and the wider Cauquenes landscape also supports País and other grapes. Explore the origin on the bottle rather than assuming a winery’s entire range comes from nearby.
