Buin offers another view of Maipo reds, from Cabernet Sauvignon structure to peppery Syrah in selected vineyard sites.
Blackcurrant, plum and herbal notes with firm tannins and a dry, savoury finish.
Dark berries, violet and pepper with a full, structured palate.
The Buin wine area is broader than the town itself. River terraces, foothills and varied soils create several growing settings within this part of Maipo. Cabernet Sauvignon is a familiar introduction, while local Syrah vineyards show a different aromatic register. Estate and smaller-site information help distinguish these wines from a broadly labelled Maipo blend.
