Curtefranca DOC is a still-wine denomination within the wider landscape best known for Franciacorta sparkling wine. Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc shape the whites, while Merlot, Cabernet-family grapes and other permitted partners contribute to the reds. A local vineyard name can add a closer sense of place. Read Curtefranca as a distinct wine identity with its own grape rules, rather than expecting bubbles whenever a bottle comes from Franciacorta country.
