Grapes
Côtes de Duras offers a compact southwestern French wine journey, with fresh whites, fruit-led reds and rosés near the Dordogne border.
Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec.
Red and dark berries with herbal detail and a dry, rounded finish.
Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle.
Citrus, orchard fruit and flowers with a fresh, dry palate.
Côtes de Duras AOP has a long shared wine history with Bergerac, while retaining its own protected identity. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec offer red-wine routes. Whites use several local varieties, including Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle, and can differ in sweetness. The revised specification also recognises a wider white-grape palette. Follow the colour, sweetness and producer’s grape details rather than expecting one fixed Duras blend.
