Tharros offers a wider wine journey than the ancient coastal site that lends it a name.
Tharros IGT covers a substantial defined western Sardinian area, not simply vineyards beside the archaeological ruins. It permits whites, reds and rosés. The name does not guarantee the ageing tradition of Vernaccia di Oristano DOC, which is a separate designation. Compare the grape, producer and wine type to find the character of each bottle.
