Nettuno highlights Bellone, locally called Cacchione, beside Lazio’s Tyrrhenian coast.
Bellone.
Citrus and ripe white fruit with a rounded palate and fresh finish.
Bellone, Trebbiano Toscano.
Fresh orchard fruit and gentle floral notes from a local white blend.
Nettuno DOC is closely associated with Bellone under its local name Cacchione. Its bianco pairs Bellone with Trebbiano Toscano, while a Cacchione type gives the grape a more direct voice. Red and rosé wines also belong to the denomination. The coastal origin describes these two municipalities, rather than every wine grown along Lazio’s shore.
