Colli Orientali del Friuli Picolit DOCG is a sweet-white origin distinct from the broader Friuli Colli Orientali DOC. The Picolit grape leads the wine, with drying of grapes helping concentrate flavour and sweetness. Cialla has a more specific origin and production rules. Think of a small, slowly enjoyed glass with fruit or nut-based desserts, rather than a dry everyday white.
