Oberer Neckar is the older district name found on wine labels and regional histories. A 2025 official notice records its renaming to Neckar–Alb. Small vineyards and historic slopes provide a different perspective from Württemberg’s larger wine centres. The newer name describes an origin, not a grape variety or a required style.
