Santa Cruz is a lively gateway to Colchagua, with historic vineyard sites offering Malbec, Cabernet and other expressive reds.
Plum, dark berries and floral notes with a generous texture and rounded tannins.
Cassis, cherry and herbal detail with a firm, savoury finish.
Santa Cruz is both a wine-travel centre and a defined smaller origin. Viu Manent’s San Carlos vineyard illustrates the area’s long red-wine history, including Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Vineyards and cellars are spread beyond the town centre, and estates may also own land in other Colchagua areas. Follow the stated vineyard to distinguish a Santa Cruz-grown wine from one simply tasted or bottled nearby.
