About Sussex

Where it grows

Across East and West Sussex in southern England.

Sussex is both a geographical county identity and a registered PDO for qualifying wines. Its protected specification includes sparkling and still categories with different production requirements. Chalk is part of the regional vineyard story, but Sussex contains other soils too. Discover a still Bacchus or Chardonnay alongside the better-known bubbles to explore that range. A Sussex winery address alone does not show that every bottle qualifies for the PDO or uses only Sussex fruit.
