About Bodbe

Where it grows

Around Upper and Lower Bodbe, close to Sighnaghi in southeastern Kakheti.

Bodbe is a village and cultural destination rather than a separate protected wine appellation. Georgia’s tourism authority documents vineyard and household grape-growing traditions here, with wine production associated with Lower Bodbe. The nearby monastery and Sighnaghi make it an engaging starting point for the surrounding wine country. A local cellar address does not determine a bottle’s grape or sweetness, so explore the producer’s stated vineyard origin and winemaking method for the wine itself.
