Bergerac Sec highlights the fresh, dry white side of the Dordogne’s Bergerac wine landscape.
Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle.
Lemon, apple and floral notes with a dry palate and gentle texture.
Sec is the dry-white indication within Bergerac AOP, rather than a separate neighbouring appellation. Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon and Muscadelle offer producers several blending possibilities. Fresh young wines and more textured cellar-raised examples can both carry the name. Compare the grape information and producer’s approach to explore that range. Sweeter white appellations from the wider Bergerac area have different names and specifications.
