Grapes
TempranilloGarnachaGraciano
Rioja’s eastern warmth, with generous Garnacha and an appetite for rediscovery.
Garnacha and Tempranillo.
Ripe red berries, plum and a rounded palate. Higher sites can add floral detail and freshness to the region’s generous fruit.
Viura and Tempranillo Blanco.
Fresh apple and citrus or a fuller, textured palate, depending on the grapes and how the wine is made.
Formerly called Rioja Baja, this zone is now known as Rioja Oriental. Lower, warmer sites and cooler uplands offer different expressions, so expect more variety than the old name suggests.
