White Carignan
Empordà brings Garnatxa and Carinyena to Catalonia’s northeastern corner, with coastal light, inland hills and a celebrated sweet-wine tradition.
Grenache, Carignan.
Red and dark berries with herbal spice, a dry palate and firm tannins.
Grenache Blanc.
Pear, citrus and herbs with a rounded texture and fresh finish.
Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris.
Dried fruit, orange peel and nutty notes with clear sweetness and a lingering finish.
Empordà DO offers reds, whites, rosés and traditional sweet wines across a varied landscape influenced by the tramuntana wind. Garnatxa and Carinyena are central families, with several colour variants grown locally. Discover dry reds or Garnatxa Blanca whites before exploring sweet Garnatxa d’Empordà, often made from white and grey-skinned Garnatxa. The sweet wine’s name does not mean it must be red. Compare the colour and sweetness statement on the bottle to find the expression you want.
