Rechnitz reveals the white-wine side of southern Burgenland, with Welschriesling from vineyards near the Günser Mountains.
Apple, citrus and herbal notes with a fresh, dry palate and gentle texture.
Rechnitz is a vineyard town with a long white-wine tradition, especially associated with Welschriesling. The grape is now included in Eisenberg DAC under its relevant requirements, adding a protected white identity to the wider region’s better-known Blaufränkisch story. Welschriesling and Riesling are different varieties. A named vineyard helps focus the hillside origin, while the wine’s own designation distinguishes a qualifying DAC expression from broader Burgenland labels.
