Cellatica brings a distinctive four-grape red blend to the hills immediately north and northwest of Brescia.
Marzemino, Barbera, Incrocio Terzi 1, Schiava Gentile.
Cherry, red berries and floral spice with freshness, a dry finish and supporting tannins.
Cellatica DOC combines Marzemino and Barbera with Incrocio Terzi 1 and Schiava Gentile. The required partnership gives this small origin a clear identity of its own. It is distinct from both Botticino to the east and the wider Ronchi di Brescia IGT. Explore the producer’s approach to ageing and extraction to understand the balance between fragrant fruit, acidity and tannin, rather than expecting one fixed weight or oak flavour.
