RkatsiteliSaperavi
Napareuli offers a fresh view of the Alazani’s left-bank vineyards, with protected dry reds and whites beneath the Caucasus foothills.
Saperavi.
Dark berries and cherry with freshness, firm tannins and a dry finish.
Rkatsiteli, with Mtsvane Kakhuri permitted in a smaller role.
Orchard fruit, citrus and flowers with a fresh, dry palate.
Napareuli is a protected wine origin with both red and white dry wines. The red is based on Saperavi and its permitted Budeshuri-like form; the white is led by Rkatsiteli, with Mtsvane Kakhuri allowed in a smaller role. These are separate expressions of the same microzone. The name therefore does not automatically mean a red wine or a sweet Saperavi. Explore the colour and producer’s cellar approach to see how the foothill setting is interpreted.
