Cávado explores crisp white wines along one of Minho’s Atlantic-facing river valleys.
Loureiro, Arinto, Trajadura.
Citrus and floral notes with bright acidity; the balance varies with the blend.
Cávado is a Vinho Verde subregion with a strong Atlantic influence in its lower-lying vineyard country. Loureiro, Arinto and Trajadura provide familiar routes into its whites. The subregion also has a red-grape tradition. Its river name narrows the origin, while the grape and producer explain whether a particular bottle is delicate, aromatic or more textured.
