Monica di Sardegna
Monica di Sardegna offers an approachable red-wine route through one of the island’s traditional grapes.
Monica.
Red berries, light spice and relatively gentle tannins, with weight varying by producer.
Monica di Sardegna DOC is an island-wide origin led by the Monica grape. The range includes the standard red, Superiore and a frizzante type. Monica’s identity is distinct from Cannonau and Carignano, even when all appear on the same wine list. Compare the producer’s approach to extraction and ageing for the weight and texture you prefer.
