Moscatel de Alejandría
Moscatel de Valencia introduces the region’s fragrant sweet-wine tradition.
Muscat of Alexandria.
Sweet, aromatic and richly textured, with grape, blossom and citrus-peel notes.
Moscatel de Valencia is best read within Valencia DO’s Moscatel story, rather than as a separate independent denomination. Moscatel de Alejandría supplies the intense floral and grapey character. Traditional mistela is a sweet fortified expression made from grape must; dry Moscatel wines are different products. The complete label identifies the wine type and sweetness.
