Somontano combines Pyrenean foothill vineyards with an unusually diverse mix of local and international grapes.
From fresh, fruit-led whites to more textured, oak-influenced examples; the producer’s ageing choices help distinguish the style.
An aromatic white expression with floral and ripe-fruit appeal; fragrance alone does not establish its sweetness.
Moristel.
A route into Somontano’s local red-grape heritage; compare the producer’s approach to fruit, extraction and ageing.
Somontano offers a broad choice of grapes rather than a single required blend. Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer sit alongside reds from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and local varieties. Moristel and Parraleta are particularly useful names for exploring its local heritage. Choose by the stated grape and wine type: a fragrant white and a structured red can share this origin while offering very different drinking experiences.
