Xanthi opens a Thracian wine journey around Avdira and the northern Aegean coast.
Citrus and white fruit with fresh acidity; texture varies by producer.
Limnio, Mavroudi.
Berry fruit and savoury herbal notes with a dry red-wine finish.
Xanthi is a district guide, while Avdira is a more specific protected wine origin within its southern part. Producers explore local and international grapes, including Assyrtiko, Limnio and Mavroudi. The district and the PGI therefore describe different geographical scopes. Follow the complete bottle label rather than assuming every Xanthi-area wine belongs to the same origin or blend.
