About Eniseli

Where it grows

In Kvareli municipality, on the left-bank side of Kakheti’s Alazani Valley.

Eniseli is a village and wine locality, rather than a standalone protected appellation. Local producers document winegrowing and cellar traditions around Eniseli, Shilda and Gremi, offering a useful introduction to this part of Kakheti. A winery’s range can also include protected wines whose grapes come from other microzones. The village address therefore tells you where the cellar is, while a bottle’s origin and grape statement explain the wine itself. Explore that distinction when comparing local Rkatsiteli and Saperavi with named appellation wines.
