Shuswap brings a cooler inland British Columbia perspective, with aromatic whites and small vineyards around lake country.
Orchard fruit, flowers and gentle spice with an aromatic palate and freshness.
Dark berries and earthy notes with deep colour and lively acidity.
Shuswap is a protected GI where a relatively short growing season encourages early-ripening and aromatic varieties. Ortega, Siegerrebe and Gewürztraminer offer engaging white-wine routes, with Pinot Noir and Maréchal Foch among the reds. Lake influence and sheltered sites add variation across the area. A local cellar may blend fruit from several origins, so read the bottle’s GI when seeking a Shuswap-grown expression.
