Goumenissa combines Xinomavro with local Negoska in a distinctive northern Greek red blend.
Xinomavro, Negoska.
Red and dark fruit with savoury complexity, fresh acidity and a rounded tannic frame.
Goumenissa PDO is a dry red wine combining Xinomavro and Negoska. Negoska helps distinguish its blend from the single-variety Xinomavro wines of Naoussa. The protected zone lies within the broader Kilkis landscape and overlaps geographically with parts of PGI Slopes of Paiko. The two designations permit different wine possibilities rather than identifying identical products.
